1 firefighter killed, another injured in Laurens Co. crash, coroner says. A firefighter died at the scene of a crash involving a firetruck on Highway 72, while another was hospitalized. The incident occurred while firefighters were responding to a call. Michael Vinson, 27, of Laurens, was identified as the deceased firefighter. The cause of the collision is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol's MAIT Team.
