Dominica's Ministry of Agriculture received 1,200 TR4-resistant tissue culture banana plantlets funded by the USDA/APHIS. The Support to Pest Exclusion in the Caribbean project aims to combat Tropical Race 4 fungus causing Fusarium Wilt, a threat to banana production. The plantlets will be assessed for compatibility and resistance, with plans to distribute them to farmers if TR4 enters the country.
