Singapore registered over 5,000 dengue cases in Q1 2024, over double the 2,360 cases reported in the same period in 2023, according to the National Environment Agency (NEA). Seven dengue deaths were reported as of March 25. The NEA vows continuous efforts to prevent mosquito breeding and urges the public to take measures against dengue, including removing stagnant water and breaking up hardened soil.
