80-year-old former Philadelphia Phillies manager Charlie Manuel, who suffered a stroke in September, threw the opening-day pitch in his first visit to Citizens Bank Park since his health issue. Manuel, who managed the Phillies from 2005-13, received a standing ovation. Under his leadership, the team won a World Series championship in 2008 and five consecutive NL East titles from 2007-11.
