34-year-old Alex Jackson, missing since May 2023, has been confirmed murdered by Maine State Police. A 30-year-old man, Joseph Chute of Leeds, has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to Jackson's disappearance. Chute is currently being held without bail at the Androscoggin County Jail, and Jackson's body has not been found. Chute is set to make his first court appearance on April 1.
