Tony's Chocolonely, a chocolate company founded by activist Teun van de Keuken, is bringing in $162 million annually. In 2005, van de Keuken attempted to be arrested for purchasing chocolate with child labor, but when that failed, he started the company to prove chocolate could be made without exploitation. It pays West African cocoa farmers a living income and sources beans from deforested land, combatting child labor.
