Powder Mountain, North America's largest ski area by acreage, has agreed to purchase Davenport, a 2,390-acre skiable terrain, increasing its total skiable acres to 12,850. The expansion includes adding 900 acres of public expert and advanced terrain and converting two lifts on the resort's eastern side to private lifts. The resort plans to limit day ticket sales and not accept megapasses to fulfill its commitment of keeping the mountain uncrowded and independent.
