Three people died and five were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on State Highway 8 at Pukaki, near Lake Tekapo, New Zealand. The incident involved two vehicles and a motorcycle. Emergency services, including three rescue helicopters, responded to the crash, which led to the closure of the Tekapo-Twizel Road between Hayman Road and Tekapo-Canal Road. The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the accident.
