An industrial fire near Fruitport led to an evacuation alert on Saturday, but Ottawa County Emergency Management has since lifted the alert as the fire has been contained. Authorities initially issued an evacuation alert for a half-mile radius around the Mobex Global complex after fearing a potential explosion. The alert was later terminated after proactive measures on the scene stabilized the situation.
