Nigeria's Port Harcourt-Aba train service launch postponed from March to April due to railway track reconstruction delays.

Nigeria's Minister of Transportation, Senator Saidu Alkali, announced a postponement of the Port Harcourt-Aba train service launch from March to April due to technical challenges faced during railway track reconstruction. The contractor has committed to completing the project by April. The government is also working on connecting both Port Harcourt and Onne seaports to the Port Harcourt-Aba rail track and aims to finalize project financing for the Calabar-Enugu-Abuja gauge rail line.
