Sharad Pawar's NCP filed a complaint with the Election Commission, accusing BJP and Shiv Sena of violating the Representation of the People Act and poll code by including names of individuals from other parties in their star campaigners list. The NCP, part of the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra, urged the ECI to take stringent actions to protect the sanctity of free and fair elections.
