James Madison University has appointed Morehead State's Preston Spradlin as its new men's basketball coach, signing him to a six-year contract. Spradlin, a two-time Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year, led the Eagles to two NCAA Tournament appearances, including in 2024, when they recorded a program-best 26 wins. He succeeds Mark Byington, who left JMU for Vanderbilt.
