Germany legalizes recreational cannabis use for adults, becoming the second G7 nation to do so after Canada.

Germany is set to join the global cannabis revolution on Monday, becoming the first major European country to legalise recreational use of the drug. This move places it among only two G7 nations, alongside Canada, to legalise possession and consumption for adults. Uruguay pioneered this in 2013, with residents able to buy up to 40 grams a month from pharmacies, grow it themselves, or join cannabis clubs.
