Delta firefighter Reid Taylor has raised over $72,000 for BC Children's Hospital Foundation by running in full firefighting gear annually, in recognition of his daughter's treatment there. Taylor's appreciation for healthcare increased after almost dying from a heart attack. Despite planning to run 42 km in full gear for a second fundraising marathon, he initially dismissed chest pains before his heart attack.
