19-year-old Owain Hammett-George has been jailed for six years for causing a fatal car crash in Swansea in May 2022. Hammett-George was driving at over twice the speed limit when he lost control of the car, killing passengers Ben Rogers and Kaitlyn Davies and seriously injuring Casey Thomas. The judge questioned whether new drivers should be allowed to carry passengers immediately after passing their tests and criticised Hammett-George's parents for overindulgence.
