94-year-old Leawood man killed in hit-and-run at University of Kansas Cancer Center; suspect arrested.
94-year-old Leawood man, William J. Ward, was killed in a hit-and-run crash at the University of Kansas Cancer Center in Westwood. The Johnson County Sheriff's Office identified the victim and arrested a Kansas City, Kansas woman in her mid-twenties in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing. Patient parking was temporarily rerouted and employees were asked to park in nearby surface lots during the investigation.
