28-year-old Eric Bennett allegedly shot and killed two people in Clio, Michigan on 26 March, following a domestic argument. Genesee County deputies and Clio police officers responded to a shots-fired call, where Bennett refused to drop his shotgun despite 17 orders. Firing at the officers, they returned fire, killing Bennett. The officers involved are now on paid leave, with no additional suspects believed to be involved.
