5-year-old boy near kidnap attempt in Footscray, Melbourne; 14-year-old intervenes, man leaves after witness yells.
5-year-old and 14-year-old boys were walking in Footscray, Melbourne when a man attempted to kidnap the younger child. The teenage boy tried to intervene, but was punched and knocked down. A witness shouted at the man to drop the boy, who was unharmed, and the man left the scene. Police have released images of a man they believe may assist in their inquiries.
