The officer instructed the vehicle to move, but it sped off, leading the officer on a short erratic chase. The chase ended when the boy reversed into the officer's patrol vehicle in a dirt parking lot near Plumas Avenue Elementary School, causing minor damages. The boy told the officer he was trying to get to school.
