13WHAM News anchor Don Alhart, who has held the record for the longest career as a male TV news broadcaster at 58 years, announced his retirement. Alhart, known for his community involvement and charitable work, has received five Edward R. Murrow Awards and was inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 2010. His last official broadcast will be on June 6th, marking his 58th anniversary at the station.
