Washington Nationals third baseman Nick Senzel fractured his right thumb during batting practice before the season opener against the Cincinnati Reds. He is expected to miss around 3-4 weeks. The Nationals may promote prospect Trey Lipscomb to replace Senzel at third base. Senzel, who spent five seasons with the Reds, had a .239 batting average with 33 home runs and 125 RBIs in 377 games.
