Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin vetoed two key Democratic legislative priorities: bills to allow marijuana sales and raise the state's minimum wage. He said he saw no need for the minimum wage bill and had repeatedly stated his disinterest in setting up retail marijuana sales. Virginia legalized marijuana possession and cultivation in 2021 but has yet to establish retail sales.
