US federal judge allows Mexican government's lawsuit against 5 Arizona gun shops to proceed.

Mexican government's lawsuit against 5 Arizona gun shops for supplying weapons used in Mexico's crimes can proceed, rules US federal judge. The judge found it plausible that the gun stores played a role in the illicit arms trade, although denying some of Mexico's claims. The Mexican government is seeking $10B in damages and an order to stop the sale of illegal weapons, citing that cartel violence in Mexico is fuelled by assault weapons supplied by border-state dealers.
