University of Michigan buys 7.3-acre site in Troy for $4.42M to build healthcare center.
The University of Michigan plans to purchase the former site of Kmart's world headquarters in Troy for $4.42 million to build a medical center for its health care system. The U-M Board of Regents approved the deal for 7.3 acres of land. The university's health system, Michigan Medicine, aims to expand its specialty services into Oakland County with the new multi-specialty facility.
