Uganda's Ministry of Health warns that international donors have significantly cut funding to malaria projects due to global crises, including conflicts and climate change. This withdrawal of external funding is expected to adversely impact malaria control and treatment costs in Uganda, a country with the third-highest malaria burden. The donors' phase-out of funding by 2030 is predicted to create a significant annual funding gap of around 600 billion shillings.
