Thailand's government considers legalizing casinos in entertainment complexes to boost tourism revenue.

Thailand's government is considering legalizing casinos to boost tourism revenue and employment. A parliamentary study suggests that if casinos are legalized and housed within entertainment complexes, Thailand's tourism revenue could increase by $12 billion. This move aims to attract overseas visitors and provide competition for Macau, the world's largest gambling hub. If passed, the proposed entertainment complex would include a gambling floor accounting for 3% to 10% of its total area.
