Cambodian archaeologists are restoring a severely damaged 9th-century sandstone statue at Phnom Bakheng temple, part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Angkor Archaeological Park. The restoration process includes carving new stones to replace missing parts and reconnecting the statue's cracked foot with stainless steel. The temple, with over 1,000 historical sites, attracts nearly 800,000 international visitors annually.
