400,000+ Kia Telluride vehicles recalled due to roll-away risk from improper shaft assembly.

Kia has recalled over 400,000 Telluride vehicles due to a roll-away risk, affecting certain models from 2020 to 2024. The issue is caused by a suspected improper assembly of the intermediate shaft and right front driveshaft, which may not fully engage. Over time, partial engagement could cause damage, resulting in vehicle movement even when in park. Kia will fix the issue by installing software to automatically engage the parking brake and replacing any damaged intermediate shafts.
