Keanu Reeves and Oscar-winner Fisher Stevens are set to co-produce a documentary on martial arts pioneer Benny "The Jet" Urquidez, who introduced mixed martial arts to the world. Urquidez, a world champion in karate and kickboxing, later trained actors and coordinated fight scenes for movies. Emmy-nominated sports documentary editor and filmmaker Jennifer Tiexiera is directing the film, set to explore Urquidez's journey from struggling with identity, poverty, and race to finding love, spirituality, and deeper meaning.
