Italy's inflation rate rose to 1.3% in March, according to preliminary estimates from ISTAT, up from 0.8% in February. Core inflation, excluding energy goods and fresh food, rose from +2.3% to +2.4%, while core inflation net of energy goods alone decelerated from +2.6% to +2.5%. The annual increase in 'shopping trolley' prices slowed to +3% in March from +3.7% in February.
