Idaho Governor Brad Little signed House Bill 668 into law, banning state insurance and Medicaid from covering gender-affirming medications or procedures for transgender adults and minors. The bill prohibits public funds for treatments such as hormone therapy, puberty blockers, and surgeries, but still allows coverage in cases where treatments are necessary for health reasons, or for adults born with a medically verifiable genetic disorder of sex development.
