A family from British Columbia experienced a lightning strike during their flight from Calgary to Vancouver Island on a propeller plane operated by Air Canada subsidiary Jazz Aviation. The pilot informed passengers, returned to Vancouver International Airport for safety, and conducted a full maintenance inspection after waiting for the storm to clear. The family later boarded another flight and arrived at their destination, Comox, safely.
