Man evicted from St. Lucie County home, George Jeffrey Evans, was shot by a decorated deputy after pointing a gun at him when deputies returned to the home for a second eviction attempt. Earlier in the day, Evans was evicted, but returned later to break in through a back door. Deputies ordered Evans to leave, but he pointed a gun at them, prompting the deputy to fire a single shot.
