Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert expresses confidence that star player Donovan Mitchell will sign a long-term contract extension with the team. Mitchell, under contract until the 2024-25 season, is expected to decline his $37.1 million player option for 2025-26 in favor of a new deal that could pay him over $50 million per season. The Cavaliers could offer Mitchell an extension worth around $200 million this summer.
