Amazon launches contactless palm recognition app Amazon One for payment, entry, and loyalty rewards.
Amazon has launched a new app for its contactless palm recognition service, Amazon One, which allows customers to create an account and add their palm image for payment, entry, age verification, and loyalty rewards at hundreds of stores, stadiums, airports, fitness centers, and other locations. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and ensures that the palm images are encrypted and sent to a secure domain in the AWS cloud, preventing them from being saved or downloaded to mobile devices. The service has been used over 8 million times.
