20-year-old Ike Souzer, a dangerous and violent felon with a criminal history including murder, has been recaptured in Mexico after escaping from a halfway house in Santa Ana, California. Souzer, who had previously stabbed his mother to death at age 13, was initially released from jail on probation after a 90-day sentence for vandalism and later escaped from the halfway house. U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents and Mexican officials collaborated to apprehend him, following a tip from the Orange County District Attorney's Office investigators.
