36-year-old Pullman man, Jacob Spray, was arrested on suspicion of 2nd-degree murder after officers found his estranged wife with serious injuries during a welfare check. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The Whitman County Fire Department is involved in the investigation as evidence suggests someone tried to set the home on fire. The victim's identity will be released by the Whitman County Coroner.
