Weirton Medical Center to fully join West Virginia University Health System by Jan. 1, 2025.
Weirton Medical Center (WMC) is set to become a full member of the West Virginia University Health System (WVUHS) after being a clinical affiliate since 2020. The affiliation aims to provide WMC with access to more physicians and specialists, expand its care, and ensure its economic impact with over 1,400 employees. The hospitals are targeting Jan. 1, 2025 to complete the affiliation process.
