Veteran police officer Murray Cowan becomes Deputy Commissioner and Chief Firearms Officer of Saskatchewan Firearms Office, effective April 1. Cowan, with over 45 years of firearms-related experience and 40 years in public safety, will oversee the SFO's central administration and work with law enforcement partners, Indigenous governments, and community stakeholders to support safe communities. The SFO manages firearm ownership, purchase, movement, and use within the province.
