Two Morpeth schools in Northumberland, England were temporarily locked down after a litter-picking tool was mistaken for a firearm. A pupil reported seeing a man enter woodland with the tool, prompting a police search which found two men litter picking, one fitting the description. The area was declared safe and schools resumed normal operations. Police confirmed the report was made in good faith.
