Singapore's private equity (PE) investment decreased by 74% in 2023 compared to 2022, reaching 3.7 billion USD, according to a recent Pitchbook report. Venture capital (VC) investment remained stable at 9.3 billion USD, while VC deals fell from 998 to 651. Both PE and VC investments in Southeast Asia declined due to geopolitical tensions and interest rate hikes. Global investors are shifting to other emerging markets like India and Latin America.
