President William Ruto drove himself to the Kenyatta International Conventional Centre (KICC) and flagged off the 2024 WRC Safari Rally Kenya in a rare appearance. Donning full Safari Rally drivers' gear, Ruto accompanied by an officer from the Presidential Escort Unit, attended the event where he was welcomed by Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba. The World Rally Championship event returns to the Easter period and will feature 29 drivers.
