Portland Motel 6 loses lodging license due to cockroach infestation and code violations. City plans to rehouse 64 asylum seeker families by July 1st. The Department of Health and Human Services revoked the license for all but five of the Motel s 128 rooms, as they were functioning as long-term stays. City inspectors discovered the cockroach infestation and found that 74 occupied rooms were not registered as long-term rentals with the city. Motel had an active remediation plan to address the issue.
