Massachusetts man Jeffrey Buchannan has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for the fatal attack on his partner, Rhonda Pattelena, on a beach in Maine. Buchannan pleaded guilty to murder under a plea agreement and told police he blacked out before the violent assault. Pattelena, 35, was bludgeoned with a rock and died on Short Sands Beach on March 26, 2021.
