Iran extends gas export contract with Iraq for five years, supplying up to 50 million cubic meters daily to meet Iraqi power station requirements. The deal was signed in Baghdad by Iran's National Iranian Gas Company's Majid Chegeni and Iraq's Minister of Electricity Ziyad Ali Fadel. Iraq relies on Iranian gas and electricity for a quarter of its power generation.
