India launches database on Unite Aware platform to record crimes against UN peacekeepers and monitor accountability.

India has launched a new database, sponsored by India and hosted on the Unite Aware platform, to record crimes against UN peacekeepers and monitor progress in holding perpetrators accountable. The initiative is part of the India-led Group of Friends (GOF) consisting of 40 member states, which convened its second meeting to discuss strategies to strengthen legal frameworks against malicious acts targeting peacekeepers. The database aims to serve as an online repository for the UN Secretariat, Missions, and member states, empowering them to monitor and address cases of malicious acts against peacekeepers.
