Ford cuts hourly workforce at F-150 Lightning electric pickup factory due to slower EV sales.

Ford will cut its hourly workforce at a factory that builds the F-150 Lightning electric pickup, as sales of electric vehicles slow. The automaker will reduce the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn from three work crews totaling 2,100 hourly workers to a single crew. This comes as Ford has started cutting production of the F-150 Lightning electric pickup after weaker-than-expected electric vehicle sales growth.
