Father fined €300 for assaulting daughter's sex abuser in court, avoiding jail time.
A father who attacked his daughter's sex abuser in court was spared jail but fined €300. The man, who was "overcome with emotion", had a conviction recorded after admitting he assaulted Daniel Martin, who was convicted of abusing a teenage girl and showing pornography to another child. The father appeared before Judge Treasa Kelly at Dublin District Court, where he was told, "You cannot take the law into your own hands."
