A fatal assault took place at a Browns Bay restaurant on Clyde Road, Auckland. Police and ambulance attended the scene following a report of an assault. The victim was taken to Auckland Hospital with serious injuries, but later died. The offender, responsible for the injuries, died from a self-inflicted injury at the scene.
