Germany's Deutsche Post ends domestic airmail for letters, a decision reflecting the decline of letter mail and allowing for improved climate footprint. The last overnight flights by Lufthansa unit Eurowings and Tui Fly, carrying letters to and from northern and southern Germany, took place on March 28. Letters between these destinations will now be transported by road, reducing transport-related CO2 emissions by over 80%.
